El concierto de Rush el pasado sábado 5 en el Foro Sol de esta Ciudad de México fue realmente estremecedor.

Esperé veintiún años desde que los escuché por primera vez para verlos por fin en vivo. Veintiún años después de aquella tarde soleada en que le dí a Enrique Díaz el perro la cantidad de 8 pesos (que equivaldrían a $0,00008 dolares de ahora) por el cassette en el que me había grabado Moving Pictures.
Valió la pena la espera para por fin para merecer ver a este trío ejemplar, Rush… Incluso el boleto de quinta fila, se me hizo como si fueran aquellos 8 pesos que le dí al buen perro… valió la pena, justo enfrente de la banda (espero no sonar como mi cuate el de los asientos uno y dos). Impresionante.
De la música y la ejecución, ni hablo. Me iba de espaldas a cada segundo. De hecho hablar de la magistral ejecución de Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson y Neil Peart ya es casi un lugar común. Son sumamente cabrones, y baste con eso por hoy.
Lo que quisiera destacar es la excelente selección de canciones que tocaron en cuanto al contenido. Oír juntas todas las letras de estas canciones, Dios. Me hicieron rodar por la tierra huérfano, desnudo, herido, sangrando (sí ya sé, ya sé que esa frase no es mía sino de otro guey).
